France extends lockdown until at least 11 May

Update 13 April 2020 - 21h03

As a result of the extension of the measures, some partners will not open in the coming weeks. We had already taken this into account in our indicated delivery times and there are no new changes in the current orders for the time being. We will keep you informed if there are any further changes.

Gami | Gautier resumes deliveries next week

Update 10 April 2020 - 10h59

Today we received the good news that one of our Partners in France will resume work.

Below you will find the communiqué of their CEO David Soulard:

"Dear Partners,

With the health and economic emergency we are going through, we are more involved than ever in the way we are going to weather this storm together.

At Gautier France, we have been working for a month now to make all our arrangements with our financial partners so that each of our suppliers and employees can be paid on our usual terms. This seems fair and ethical to us so as not to break the production chain and thus weaken our economy.

We are convinced that our collective success will depend on fulfilling our mutual obligations. Everyone must play the same game of fairness and transparency.

In the hope that this emergency will be limited in time, I count on your understanding and thank you for your trust.

I am convinced that together we will overcome this challenge with strength and humility."

No new changes in production and/or deliveries

Update 03 April 2020 - 10h34

The measures listed so far and the factories that have suspended deliveries and production remain closed, those where withdrawals are possible and those where limited production - sometimes with minor delays - are possible will simply continue to work until further instructions are given.

We have already sent more than 824 mails with updates on current orders with delivery dates up to calendar week 17 and 18.

A new bulk upload for weeks 19 and 20 will follow soon in the course of next week.

Production and collections Neyt Furniture Beervelde shut down

Update 28 March 2020 - 16h28

Until further notice, all productions and collections will be halted in order to make them more flexible and/or to abolish the corona measures of the Belgian government.

Prolongation of measures Belgium and France

Update 27 March 2020 - 20h28

After France this afternoon extended the security measures concerning the COVID-19 virus until 15 April, the Belgian government also took the logical step of extending it. For the time being until 19 April with a possible - and probable - extension until 03 May.

For the time being, the productions and deliveries will continue as in the past 7-10 days of the factories that were still working. The measures have not been tightened up, which does not affect the functioning of the internal and external precautions already taken by us and our partners.

Our team continues to monitor and adjust these measures on a daily basis. Everyone will also be informed - or was already informed yesterday - of any changes in the delivery dates. For the time being, these are limited in the sense that only a handful of factories are completely closed. One of which in France, where a considerable number of orders are expected. The others are more limited in size but larger in time as these factories are located in Italy and it will normally take even longer there before the legislation is relaxed a little, something we understand as a loyal partner and we try to support them as best we can during this difficult period.

More information about the new measures can be found here below or via the link:

Deliveries Belgium and the Netherlands ongoing

Update 25 March 2020 - 17h51

All deliveries that are possible and can be scheduled until 6 April were sent out today and confirmed for delivery for both the Netherlands and Belgium. For the time being, we are taking into account an extension of the domestic measures without making them stricter.

The new delivery dates for all other open orders will be sent out between tonight and Sunday night - taking into account all currently known information regarding temporary closures, production reductions or production stops, delays with international transport and international and national measures regarding deliveries and production.

For the time being, no stricter rules on deliveries and production in Belgium

Update 23 March 2020 - 14h12

Deliveries to France temporarily suspended, BE and NL continue under strict security measures

Update 20 March 2020 - 17h01

Deliveries to France are currently suspended until further receipt of new statistics on the spread of the coronavirus next week. The borders are now closed for tourist traffic but some of the regions we have to visit are so badly affected by the horrors of this virus that we also want to abide by these rules.

Deliveries to the Netherlands and inland will continue until we receive a new message.

Production Wiemann and Wimex Möbel shut down

Update 19 March 2020 - 19h15

"Ladies, gentlemen, dear business partners.

The Coronavirus pandemic has rapidly taken hold in Europe in recent days.

Politicians have taken drastic measures to protect the population as much as possible from the virus.

As a result of all these measures, our suppliers, processes from procurement to logistics and production, are facing unprecedented challenges.

The situation that has arisen forces us to temporarily halt production.

All orders/tours up to the production date of 19 March 2020 will be delivered as planned.

Should there be any changes in your warehouse opening hours, closure, please inform us as soon as possible.

As soon as we can restart our production, you will be informed.

Following this special and totally unexpected development ( force majeure ), we assume that we will work together as good partners and that mutual contractual violations ( see also delivery and condition contract ) will have no consequences.

It goes without saying that our employees in the sales, office and service departments can and will continue to be contacted by telephone or e-mail.

Hopefully this extremely unusual situation will improve in the shortest possible time.

Together with you we hope to look to the future with confidence and in good health...

Kind regards, with kind regards, with freundlichen Grüssen,"

We do our best to inform you further and to keep the impact, together with our partners, as low as possible. The delivery times have also been adjusted to this on the site and are therefore also up to date at the moment. If there are any changes, we will of course keep you informed.

Productions in China 100% resumed

Update 19 March 2020 - 14h36

Although only a small proportion of our products come directly from China, many of our partners also depend on "raw materials" or basic products being produced. We speak here of certain fabrics, artificial leather, LED lights for wall cabinets, you name it. As a result, the whole COVID-19 problem that has arisen there has already had an impact on production in recent months, but because of the restart, once the most difficult lockdown period is over, most productions will probably return to 100% of their capacity. Some are already trying to provide room for overcapacity to catch up as soon as it is possible.

We are currently in talks with our partners and will come next week with a global update to all our customers with a - they provisional - delivery date or week.

Looking at limited production possibilities

Update 19 March 2020 - 13h12

Some of our partners try to provide us with deliveries during this difficult period. Some Belgian partners will take the necessary steps in the coming days to set up a limited production line to produce and deliver current orders taking into account all safety regulations and the commitment of their workers.

Other partners abroad: the Netherlands, Poland and Germany continue to produce with all safety measures in mind. The delivery times of those who do produce can be slightly longer as it is done with limited shifts and the international transports also get more border controls.

Discussions about this are running smoothly and transparently and we will soon be able to provide more concrete data about your current orders. This information will follow in a few waves in the course of next week.

We will do our utmost for you. Taking into account, on the one hand, the health of everyone and, on the other hand, the need of others to be delivered as soon as possible.

After Italy, our French partners also cease production

Update 18 March 2020 - 18h35

Today, all our French partners stopped all productions and deliveries for an indefinite period of time with immediate effect. We are currently working with our team on a general update on all deliveries in order to give a direction towards an estimated delivery date taking into account the evolutions we receive ourselves through interest groups, our partners, domestic and foreign press. We are aware that the measures may also take longer than up to and including 5 April and hope for your understanding in this matter. We will continue to communicate openly and do our utmost to join forces with everyone as soon as possible and deliver your furniture to your home.

Important here is that - taking all safety measures and social distancing into account - we will continue to deliver the orders that are delivered to us until further notice unless there are new restrictions on a national and international level.

Can my current order be delayed due to the coronavirus?

Update 18 March 2020 - 18h07

More and more of our partners are announcing that they are shutting down production indefinitely. Due to the strict measures taken by local authorities, especially in our neighbouring countries, it is impossible for various partners to keep production running. The consequences of this temporary stop in production are, of course, quite big for us as a retailer. We are and remain dependent on the production of our partners.

Unfortunately, this will also have consequences for the delivery of your order. We will remain in close contact with all our partners, but will only be able to estimate the impact of all this on delivery times in the coming weeks/months. Let us all hope that the measures will be lifted in the week of April 6th, so that everything can go back to normal. Until that time, we are looking to make as many collections as possible from partners who keep furniture in stock, in order to be able to provide as many people as possible with (ordered) furniture.

Update 18 March 2020 - 13h07

Update 17 March 2020 - 21h57

"We remain at your service in these exceptional times

Dear customers and relations,

First and foremost, we sincerely hope that you, your staff and your family are in good health. That is the most important thing in these uncertain Corona times.

Recor NV closely follows government guidelines, we introduce a number of additional measures to guarantee everyone's health and we remain available to our partners as much as possible. We evaluate the measures several times a day and we will proactively keep you informed of any changes in our approach. The measures apply until further notice. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Production and deliveries

As of Wednesday 18/3, we shut down production in order to safeguard the health of our staff. Products that have already been produced in advance and that are scheduled to be delivered on Wednesday 18/3, Thursday 19/3 or Friday 20/3 can still be delivered on condition that the government guidelines allow this.

We hope to be able to restart production and deliveries as soon as possible".

We do our best to inform you further and to keep the impact, together with our partners, as low as possible. The delivery times have also been adjusted to this on the site and are therefore also up to date at the moment. If there are any changes, we will of course keep you informed.

Also our customer service will continue to work. However, it is busier than usual. We hope for your understanding, if there is an answer to your question a little later than usual. We apologize in advance. We work with manpower to be able to answer all your questions as soon as possible. Only if we work together will we get through this period.

Can we still order online?

Update 14 March 2020 - 9h20

Of course you can still order online at Meubis, just like in the shop. The people on the desks at Meubis continue to work, just like in the warehouse and the drivers.

Given this difficult period we have decided to discount a lot of extra products this month. This way we can give everyone a boost and give you a competitive price and an even better price | quality ratio. The indicated delivery terms are checked on a daily basis and adjusted where necessary, in order to give as realistic a picture as possible of the effective waiting time. For this purpose, we take into account both the incoming information from our partners themselves as well as the international news channels that provide the current state of affairs country by country.
